Jordan + Sarah’s wedding at the Stillwell House in Tucson, Arizona!
These two survived heat of 111 degrees on their wedding day! Phew!
Jordan and Sarah were originally going to get married in February of 2021. As many other couples have experienced, the pandemic had other plans. They survived a rescheduled date, blazing hot temperatures, popped suit buttons, getting locked out of their hotel room, and walking around downtown in heels. But they freaking did it! They got married and now they’re a little past their one year anniversary!
I’m so happy for these two! They went through so much but were able to arrive at their day and celebrate with joy, laughter, grace and good attitudes!
Their day was filled with rosé to keep them happy, a father daughter dance that had me crying, sweet speeches from their dads, some of the best dance moves from the brother-of-the-bride, lots of sweets, a little heat, and the sweetest couple!
One thing I was personally proud of regarding this wedding was all the cool location in downtown Tucson we found to photograph in. As a photographer, it can often get repetitive to photograph in the same area or at the same venue. In order to bring a sense of “freshness” to each wedding I shoot, I often location scout before hand.
Jordan + Sarah did not have a wedding party so there was extra time for bride and groom photos. The day before, I walked around downtown Tucson and picked out lots of spots with color and texture that stood out to me. This allowed me to know exactly where to take the couple during their photo time. This worked out so well because, as I mentioned, it was a hot one! This eliminated unnecessary time walking around searching for locations and allowed me to create fresh, colorful and creative photos for the bride and groom.
