Bryden and Maya’s intimate wedding at the Wright House in Tucson, Arizona. It’s finally time for me to share this special day! Bryden and Maya are such inspiring people and I am very blessed to have had them as my clients.
They reached out to me with a passion for unprompted and candid wedding photography. We met for coffee and discussed their wedding day. I was immediately struck by their gentleness and love with each other and their genuine kindness as people. They emphasized that they wanted their wedding day to be as free as possible. They wanted to live in the moment and avoid posed photos and instead wanted to soak up time with their people and with each other. I was absolutely sold and they booked me the same day! Win! When we met for their engagement photos on Mount Lemmon a couple weeks later, this was only solidified my excitement to work with them even more.
Fast forward to their wedding day on a sunny day in Tucson. They chose an intimate setting in South Tucson, the Wright House; a venue I love to photograph at for it’s southwest charm! Maya got ready with her sisters and closest friends, mom and aunt. They drank white wine, sang along to Florence and the Machine, and gushed over Maya’s bridal beauty. The joy and love this group of women have for each other was so beautiful to witness. Their presence and excitement was a joy to photograph and they welcomed me in like a friend, too. This is a great example of why I encourage couples to not skip the “getting ready” photos. With me, it just means unprompted, intimate photos of you and your most special people. Preparing for your wedding and being showered upon with love.
Maya and Bryden chose not to seen each other before their wedding ceremony. This worked perfectly because they also opted out of any formal photos with family or wedding party. Bryden and Maya exchanged heartfelt and meaningful vows and had everyone in the audience tearing up. Ending the ceremony with the most glorious, sun-soaked “receiving line” of hugs was the perfect cherry on top.
Bryden and Maya’s bride and groom photos were such a pleasure to photograph. It’s like I wasn’t even there and these two were just reveling in their joy and love. Those are the types of bride and groom photos I love the most! We then transitioned into a beautiful reception under the stars. Bryden and Maya were showered with kind words from their friends and family and danced under the starts. This was truly a wedding I’ll always remember and clients I am incredibly grateful for.
