I’m here to share why engagement shoots are important!

I recommend all couples who book their wedding with me to take engagement photos before. I’ll tell you why…

Reason #1: Engagement shoots help your wedding day experience

Engagement sessions allow us to get to know each other before the big day. They give me, as the wedding photographer, the opportunity to hear your story, learn about you and your relationship and get to know all that makes you unique. This allows me to create even more solid images, tailored to you, come the wedding day.

Reason #2: Engagement shoots help you get comfortable

Well, they help us ALL get comfy! Not everyone is comfortable in front of the camera (that’s totally fine). Engagement shoots give you and your partner the chance to get a feel for what it’s like to interact with a camera present. This allows you to feel even more at ease on your wedding day.

Reason #3: Engagement shoots enhance your wedding celebrations

You get to have special photos for save the dates, bridal showers OR just to get stoked for your wedding day. Enough said!

Engagement shoots help you to celebrate where you are and what’s to come. The engagement process is beautiful and stressful (it’s definitely a “both, and situation,” right?!) Taking time to step away from the stress to connect with your fiancé and celebrate how far you’ve come and where you’re going is the perfect way to enter into a new season.
