When Michelina and Andrew told me they wanted to have a Western glam inspired Tucson engagement session, I was totally on board! As we were brainstorming for their shoot, we were contemplating which bar we could photograph in. Hotel Congress was generous enough to allow us to photograph there! This ended up being the perfect location without much effort on our part. There were funky disco balls hanging up and we even got to dance along with the band that was having its soundcheck for that night’s show. M + A came dressed to the nines and in theme. Can you believe Andrew MADE the jacket her wore for the beginning of the shoot? These two toasted, slow danced and had their own little country western moment. They made all my creative dreams come true and I’m so glad they trusted me on this shoot.

Andrew and Michelina met through the dating app, Hinge, early on in the pandemic. Three weeks after meeting, they went on a road trip through Colorado and, as Michelina told me, they’ve been “inseparable ever since.” They’re both big music and concert fans. Michelina told me Andrew is the singer and she’s the proud backup dancer. They are also dog parents to three pups who I got to meet!

They are getting married out in the beauty of the Tucson desert at Oasis at Wild Horse Ranch this weekend and I’m so excited to celebrate with the two of them and their families! Stay tuned for more Western-glam photos from their wedding.
