As a Tucson engagement photographer, I’m so excited to share this post! Finally, the last of my “Best of” blog posts for 2021. The best of couples photographed this year!

I was recently asked when I fell in love with photographing couples and weddings. Photographing weddings and couples actually got easier and a whole lot less awkward when I was in a relationship. Silly, I know – but true! Before being in a relationship, posing couples felt awkward and weird and like I was intruding on their intimacy. Any other photographers feel like this? Once in a relationship, I realized the beauty and importance of capturing the quirks and intricacies that make a couple unique. I came to understand how truly special it is to have those photos of you and your partner; how cherished they are and the warmth they bring to your heart.

2021 was a GREAT year for photographing couples. I photographed many engagement photos and sessions for couples “just because.” I also challenged myself to photographed “styled” couples shoots – some of which are peppered in here, too.

Out of all the shoots I did this year: weddings, seniors and couples, I am most proud of these photos. Photographing couples is an area of photography that I feel I have grown in the most this year, and these are photos I would be proud to be present in, too. I love engaging with couples, hearing their story and finding out what they love most about each other. Bring out their quirks and idiosyncrasies brings me joy, as does creating photos that are uniquely them! I’m super proud of these images and hope you enjoy my best of couples for 2021!
