Jessie + Ben’s Tucson wedding at Tanque Verde Ranch!

How they met!

These two met on OKCupid and had their first date at the bar called Sea Witch in Brooklyn where they both talked into the night. They were both struck after their first date but were unsure when they’d be able to see each other again as Jessie was heading out of town the next week. Lucky for them, once she returned, they were inseparable; spending their weekends at Long beach, playing pinball and seeing concerts and shows together.

Jessie + Ben’s Tanque Verde Ranch wedding:

Jessie + Ben’s wedding day started with balloons and dance parties and heart shaped glasses, giving of gifts and lots of laughter. They were surrounded by a huge group of supportive, hilarious people that made their day all the more fun. They merged their love of quirkiness and color with the desert; including rotted prickly pear from Jessie’s parent’s Tucson home and making sure all their family (most from out of Arizona) had a cactus to take home with them. Special little treat: each test was able to get a rapid Covid test to ensure that they could safely gather!

Jessie told me her favorite thing about Ben is his loyalty to others. This was on display in their huge wedding party and the intentional gifts Ben gave to each of his groomsmen. You could tell this group of people meant so much to the groom from special times in his life.

Throughout the wedding, Ben’s family raved about Jessie’s ability to seamlessly fit into their unit and the comfort and joy her presence has been as they navigated difficult times.

This day was truly such a beautiful union of two best friends as well as two families. Both families blended together to physically lift up the bride and groom and dance the Horah with them. They all danced the night away, played pinball (Jessie surprised Ben with a rented machine for the day), enjoyed the desert gorgeousness and all the deserts!
