Laura and Rachel’s Scottsdale engagement session at the iconic Sugar Bowl!
It’s obviously a pleasure to be invited in to a couple’s relationship, but it’s even more of a pleasure when you leave the shoot and feel like you’ve made two new friends. I definitely felt that with Laura and Rachel. I was able to connect with them, hear about their lives and how they met. They are gems!
Laura and Rachel met on Instagram and Rachel told me she was immediately attracted to how Laura was so sweet with her niece. They both talked about how treasured their families are to them. Laura was impressed with how forward Rachel was and how easily she was able to express herself to her.
We started the engagement shoot at Scottsdale’s iconic ice cream shoppe, the Sugar Bowl. The pink booths and colorful, pastel painted murals make for perfect backdrops. When these two told me ice cream was a mutual love of theirs I knew we had to photograph in the cutest ice cream shoppe ever! We then adventured around the gorgeous red rocks of Papago Park. The three of us danced to some of their favorite songs as the golden light faded to a beautiful sunset. I left this shoot feeling full and thankful!
I feel so lucky and grateful to have these two trust me to take their colorful photos and cannot wait for their colorful wedding next Spring at the Saguaro Hotel in Scottsdale!
