What an incredible pleasure it was to be Laura + Rachel’s wedding photographer. When they inquired with me through my contact form and told me about the colorful, Spring wedding they were planning at the Monarch in Scottsdale, I knew it was a day I wanted to be apart of.

It was also a blessing to then get to know the two of these women; to hear about their relationship and the growth they’re found individually and together. These two and their hearts and lives positively affect the people around them and it’s a joy to see!

I had the opportunity to get to know them through their engagement session where we went to the Sugar Bowl in Old Town Scottsdale and danced as the sun went down in Papago Park not too far from there.

Their wedding day at the Monarch was a perfect depiction of their personalities. They are lovers of bright and fun modern design and lots and lots of color. Most importantly, these two women value their families. Laura emphasized how important their nieces and nephews were to them. It was beautiful to see all of the kids (big and small) so involved in the wedding day and I loved photographing them.

I left this wedding feeling like I learned something positive from Laura and Rachel. These brides wrote hand written cards for each of their guests, took the time to call out each and every wedding vendor they worked with and made sure to help everyone feel welcome throughout the day. What a pleasure it was to photograph their colorful wedding at the Monarch in Scottsdale, Arizona.
