This styled engagement shoot at the Portland Rose Garden was a DREAM!

In a warm summer evening last year, Austyn, Corey and I had the International Rose Test Garden in Portland, Oregon practically to ourselves! I kept freaking out and pinching myself surrounded by all the beauty and green. This Arizona girl definitely loves a good garden.

This trip to Portland was such a treat! It is quickly becoming one of my favorite cities. When visiting, I love staying in the “alphabet district” (is that what locals even call it?! Am I outing myself as a complete tourist?!) HA! Anyway! I love staying in that area because I can hop quickly onto the street car and enjoy walking around all the beautiful neighborhoods. Plus, not being too far from Powell’s book store doesn’t suck. This time around, I knew I wanted to do a couple of photoshoots to capture some of my favorite places in Oregon. As a photographer, it really helps me creativity to photograph in new places. I’m so stoked that doing a shoot at the Rose Garden worked out.

I can’t thank Austyn + Corey enough for being such wonderful models for this styled engagement shoot! I’ve known Austyn since high school. When I reached out to friends to see if anyone would model for me when I was visiting Portland, Austyn volunteered enthusiastically! I am so glad they did, because her and Corey are so stinking stylish! The shoot went even better than I could have imagined.
