I am so excited to share Tamar + Adam’s Phoenix Zoo engagement session at the Phoenix Zoo and the Sugar Bowl in Scottsdale, Arizona!

These two colorful, sweet souls are getting married this weekend in Phoenix a Venue 122!

How they met!

Tamar and Adam met during their undergraduate studies at the University of Arizona. They later reconnected when they both lived in Phoenix. When they started dated, their schedules were so opposite that the only time they had together was often weekday mornings before work. During their engagement session, they told me that they would often walk around the Phoenix Zoo during those times. That is where much of their early relationship began. It was so special to take some of their engagement session at the Phoenix Zoo to memorialize that part of their relationship.

Of course, to include more color and vintage elements, we HAD to do the second half of their engagement session at the Sugar Bowl in Old Town Scottsdale. If you’ve never been, I highly recommend that you go! Experience sharing a milkshake or banana split with your honey the experience of sitting in these cute pink booths! It’s such a cute and historic place!

When I asked Tamar when she knew Adam was someone special and someone she wanted to keep in her life, she told me something that melted my heart. She said that she often visualizes her “happy place” as a calming technique (she described a large, beautiful house with a wraparound porch). She told me she “knew” Adam was special when he started appearing in her “happy place.” I thought this was so lovely!

Tamar and Adam are such kind, thoughtful people. They’re both “twos” on the enneagram so they care deeply about others and you can’t help but feel warm and welcomed and appreciate when you’re around them. I know I did!

Their wedding!

I am SO looking forward to photographing their Marvelous Mrs Maisel themed Phoenix wedding at Venue 122 in Downtown Phoenix. When this couple reached out and described their unique wedding to me, I couldn’t respond fast enough! They are incorporating important Jewish traditions, lots of comedy and stand up style toasts, and vintage details. All to tie their theme together!
