On their anniversary (okay, one day later) I’m sharing Juliana and Cody’s morning wedding at Westward Look in Tucson, Arizona!
Juliana and Cody’s wedding day was all about community. I actually met Juliana when I was teaching at a private school in Tucson and she was a senior in high school. Never having her as a student, we actually bonded over gluten free foods and our respective medical diets. We stayed in touch over Instagram after she got engaged. She reached out to me after that, desiring my colorful wedding photography style!
Their colorful wedding was not only filled with all the shades of the rainbow, but it was filled with all their family and friends and their love and support. Having been apart of the same school community that Juliana grew up in, it was awesome to see that community show up for this couple. Teachers, school friends, former principals and mentors showed up for these two as they dedicated their lives to each other and to God. Their brunch reception was filled with so many hugs and warm moments of connection and community. That is my favorite thing to photograph as as wedding photographer.
Juliana and Cody’s close friends all helped them get ready nice and early on their special day. Juliana shared 3 first looks that morning: one with her groom-to-be and two with her dads. You could tell the couple was interested in honoring all the people who helped them become who they are today.
