Ellie and Lowell’s Kingan Gardens wedding in Tucson, Arizona. I was so happy when this couple reached out to me sharing that they wanted to have a low-key Tucson wedding with emphasis on time spent with the people they love. Ellie and Lowell got married at a beautiful Downtown Tucson venue, Kingan Gardens. Their most special people helped them get ready for their day; even going as far as to pick out the outfits they each wore. It’s alway a joy to photograph couples whose main priority is people.
Wanting to see each other before the ceremony but without all the fanfare, these two chose to have a very casual first look. It was a beautiful moment before the party began and allowed up to take some photos at the gorgeous garden venue and the quirky, Tucson neighborhood nearby.
Ellie and Lowell exchanged the most beautiful vows during their wedding ceremony at Kingan Gardens. What I remember most is Ellie emphasizing her love for Lowell at every stage of his life; highlighting her joy to watch him grow and change and her choice to love him through it all. There were so many tears of joy in the audience!

One of the couple’s biggest desires was to spend time with their guests on their wedding day. A perfect way to make this happen is to attend cocktail hour so they did just that! I am a huge encourager of attending cocktail hour because you always get the most fun and natural candids. It’s an opportunity to talk to and hug your guests, show off your beautiful wedding outfits, and just take in the magic of the day. Some of my favorite photos in this set include all the fun and rambunctious kids Ellie and Lowell invited to their wedding. There are really sweet photos of one little girl admiring Ellie’s new ring and wedding shoes as well as silly photos of a group of kiddos playing in the grass. It was all a joy to witness!
Ellie and Lowell spent the rest of the night snuggled up together hearing kind words from their family and friends, enjoying amazing cake, and dancing under the stars! Thank you, Ellie and Lowell for choosing me as your wedding photographer!
