Another day, another bookstore engagement session in Tucson! It seems to be my brand. I am definitely not mad about attracting other bookish clients! In all seriousness, I was thrilled to hear that Alyssa and James were willing to come down to Tucson to have their engagement session photographed at one of my favorite bookstores in town: Bookmans!

Alyssa and James met through mutual friends. Upon meeting, they connected over their love of travel. They were surprised to find out that they were both traveling to Iceland soon and spent time talking about that. When asked, Alyssa said she was drawn to Jame’s thoughtfulness, kindness toward herself and other. “He’s witty, goofy, sweet, and has a killer smile” These bookstore engagement photos are full of James sweetly smiling toward her.

When asked about special memories they’ve enjoyed together, Alyssa and James described occasions that ranged from hilarious, to spooky, to hilariously awkward. Their mutual love of travel has taken them all over! Alyssa described a haunted hotel where they stayed in Flagstaff, Arizona and how that night turned James into a believer after experiencing some creepy occurrences!

These two are lovers of all the good nerdy things (and I say that with affection)! They enjoy books, fantasy, their beloved cat, trashy reality TV, pop punk and emo music, festivals and traveling. It’s incredible to see two people passionate about their interests. It’s even more incredible to witness the gift of two people who are able to share that joy with each other and, consequently, those around them.
