Emmy and Patrick’s Tucson wedding is tomorrow so, today, I want to share their Fall engagement shoot on Mount Lemmon.
Emmy and Patrick are two people who you can be yourself around. When we arrived on Mount Lemmon for their engagement shoot I asked them how they were doing. They were honest with me. “Tired.” “Low energy,” they said. Honestly, I was feeling the same. It was a hard day and I was nervous knowing I had a shoot that afternoon and wanted to be “on.” As soon as these two were willing to be honest with me, I felt I could be myself, too. None of us felt like we had to fake it or put on a front. What a relief!
We warmed ourselves up by exploring a beautiful picnic area on Mount Lemmon with gorgeous pine trees and sparkly golden light. Their silliness and lightness quickly came out. It was so much fun to photograph these two interacting with each other and all the snuggles that ensued.
Patrick and Emmy started out as friends. When he first asked her out, she said “no thanks!” but became better friends after that. Emmy is a professional violinist and Patrick plays guitar and the drums. They are big cat lovers! I, personally, have loved seeing all their cute cat videos on Instagram since meeting them about a year ago.
I’m thrilled to celebrate these two with their family and friends at the Stillwell House for their Tucson wedding this weekend. Stay tuned for more of their photos. Until then, enjoy their Mount Lemmon engagement session below…
If you enjoyed this engagement shoot, I think you’ll like this one as well!
