Matt and Viki’s Tucson wedding at the Cactus View Lawn at Tanque Verde Ranch! Silly, goofy, fully themselves.
I loved this day and these two! I met Viki and Matt and another couple’s wedding, Scott and Devon, a year before. We immediately clicked and made plans to have me photograph their engagement shoot and wedding. These two are such lovers of life and adventure and their community. They are foster dog parents, horse riders, love climbing and exploring the beauty of Tucson and know how to make a good time better!
Their Tucson wedding day was filled with unique aspects of their personality as well as family and cultural traditions. Viki walked down the aisle to the Jurassic Park theme song and little mini dinosaurs littered their reception decor. They even brought out “dance floor enhancers” to make the reception even more fun! You’re going to want to scroll to the end to see those images.
Including traditions from her Polish heritage, Viki chopped her hair off the night before her wedding. The couple also polka-ed the night away with their family and friends and did an especially fun tradition I hadn’t heard of. When Viki and Matt entered the reception, Viki’s parents had a loaf of bread and two shot glasses waiting for them. One glass was filled with water and the other with vodka. The couple didn’t know which was which. Each took a shot and the results are hilarious! Scroll through to see the genuine reactions.
Not only did they include familial traditions, Viki and Matt continued a friends traditions of opening a champagne bottle with a ski! They did this right after the ceremony to the joy and horror of their invited guests. It was so much fun to witness.
Like I previously said, Viki and Matt make a good time better. They love their family, friends and community well and I can’t wait to see how they continue to impact the world for the better as a couple.
