Erica and Paul’s South Mountain maternity session in Phoenix.

It’s beautiful to watch someone’s journey over time. i have had the privilege of seeing erica grow a business, inspire women and be light for women within their spiritual journey to lean in to who God is calling them to be, uniquely. she’s a hardworking woman! she shares openly about her journey through addiction, mental health and singleness. the community she’s cultivated celebrates with her. they celebrated with her last december when she married her love, Paul and they’re celebrating with her now as she and Paul are preparing to welcome their first child. it’s beautiful to be witness to and to celebrate something that one or two or thousands of people have prayed for.

erica + paul and i hiked around the desert in Phoenix at South Mountain and she shared with me the joys, surprises and difficulties that has been motherhood so far. i could tell that paul is such a supportive presence; making space for her and being present for her in the midst of all of her endeavors. erica also lovingly watched as paul embarked on one of his own passions during this shoot — bird watching 😉 it’s lovely to see two people compliment and care for each other. i’m grateful to have been able to help them celebrate this joy.
